The Krivan basic school is situated in the
splendid Podpolanie region in Slovakia. This region is known for its unique
folklore.
The school consists of five buildings. The 1st grade building,
the 2nd grade building, gymnasium with workshops, the school
canteen and flats for teachers. The school ground includes also a
garden, a schoolyard and a large park.
The whole school ground is protected by a fence.
It is a ideal environment for a peaceful school life. Pupils are
not disturbed by the noise from the outside since the school lies
far from the main roads. They have a large clearance for their
actions in the school ground.
When the weather permits and it is warm outside children
spend all their time during the main break in the schoolyard. They
can enjoy free activities ...
The school ground is an area covered with lawn
and planted with deciduous trees such as birches, willows, rowan
trees and limes as well as conifers. The school ground is
separated from the road by a row of hedges. In the park there is
rock garden, a flowerbed with roses and a statuary by J.
Podzimkova-Mrackova.
