Years 1970 to 2000

The seventies: From 1st September 1976 the 5th year of the Elementary nine-year school in Detva-Piest II was affiliated to the Krivan school as a part of the integration program. By the 1st September 1977 a specialized classroom for chemistry and physics was established. Because of the lack of teaching room the building of a new teaching pavilion for the years 1.-4. began on 7th February 1977.

The building was opened on 4th November 1977 and at the beginning of November the lessons began. The years 5.-9. of the Elementary nine-year school in Korytarky were affiliated to the school in Krivan in the school year 1978/79, again as a part of the integration program. Consequently, the number of pupils, classrooms and teaches increased.

The eighties: At the beginning of the eighties the school access roads, main pavements and yards of the school were asphalted. In the school year 1982/83, the ninth year was not opened because of the lack of pupils. The school established a friendship with a Czech elementary school in Sumavske Hostice.

The nineties until the present: 27.5.1995 the Elementary school in Krivan celebrated 100th anniversary of the foundation of the first school in Krivan. A memorial plaque referring to this event was uncovered by the then minister of education Eva Slavkovska.

In 1995 the school gained a gas supply. Currently there are three buildings designed for teaching and a dining hall in the school area. The pavilion for years1-4 contains four classrooms. After the lessons, these rooms are used for organized after school activities. The building for years 5-9 contains 8 classrooms. There are 254 pupils and 20 teachers. The school-ground well-taken care for. It is beautified  by greenery, park, flower beds and a rockery.
